Jul 13, 2023

Despite the C8's immense popularity, GM is bringing some exciting new changes to the model lineup, and here's the lowdown on what's new for 2024

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette is coming, and it's looking to make waves in the market. We know quite a bit about the hybrid AWD E-Ray, which is expected to go into production sometime later this year, right after the C8 Z06. But now, Chevrolet has released the 2024 Corvette Order Guide, and we've had the opportunity to look into it to see what's coming soon. And a lot of it is pretty exciting. The car is good, but it's seeing some real and welcome improvements and Chevrolet deserves props for that.

A few of the nice features that are coming will be standard on all trims and Chevy is offering some interesting packages as well that are specific to each trim. We now have hard data to share with our readers about the specs of each trim, including cargo and fuel capacity, dry weight, and all sorts of goodies for Corvette enthusiasts. It's not often that a new model year draws so much attention and enthusiasm. But if there's a car that deserves it, it's the Corvette. Read on to catch up on the exciting new features coming for 2024.

The information provided to our readers in this article comes from the 2024 Chevrolet Order Guide made publicly available a few days ago.

While the 'build your car' tool is not available for fans and prospects to start configuring your 2024 Chevy Corvette, we can already start to figure out how we would build our dream Corvette. But first, let's check out some of the new features that will come as standard on all trims below:

These are quite helpful safety features and since they're standard, customers won't have to decide between safety or another additional option. The only question here is if Chevy is going to use this as a justification for an increase in base price. That remains to be seen, but we should get these answers soon.

Still new for 2024 are some limited production options and packages (LPO) such as:

The LPO package is named Tech Bronze Accent Package, and it includes 19" front, 20" rear 20-spoke aluminum wheels, a Dark Stealth crossed flags emblem familiar to Corvette fans, a Jake hood graphic with the Tech Bronze accent, and Carbon Flash Metallic also with Tech Bronze accent fender hash stripes.

There are also a few new full-length dual racing stripes with different accents coming for the 2024 Corvette lineup too. For those who like to admire the internals of their sports cars there are also new Engine Appearance Packages and Engine Covers. Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension will be available as standard on all trims. This helps ensure optimum handling in all driving scenarios.

With regard to colors there is a new green seat belt color which is available with the 'Artemis' interior. This interior scheme is promising to be somewhat controversial and probably not everyone's cup of tea. There are four new colors for 2024 which will replace some colors available on the 2023 lineup. These new colors are:

A point worth mentioning is that the White Pearl color available on the 2023 70th Anniversary Special Edition is not on the plans for 2024. So the White Anniversary Edition might end up being one of the more rare Corvettes around in the future when people look back at these models.

All models come with an eight-speed dual clutch transmission that features manual and auto modes. The Chevy Corvette is Iconic in the sense that is part of American history. Its current 8th-generation is arguably the best one yet. With all trims featuring big V-8 engines, they all get the gas guzzler tax, even the hybrid E-Ray.

The Z06 high-revving engine is brilliant and also proof that Chevy can deliver a world-class sports car that match the best European and Japanese brands can throw at it, and despite its cost, it's much cheaper than some of its competitors. Now the E-Ray promises incredible performance with its hybrid powertrain, but it's not much quicker than the Z06. One has to wonder why not use the Z06 engine on a hybrid application for some really astonishing results. Nevertheless, whichever way you look at it, the 2024 Chevy Corvette lineup is looking nice!
