The third-generation RGT-8 is built on a Porsche 991 chassis and utilizes a 4.5-liter V-8 engine instead of the usual 400-horsepower flat-six found on the 911. The swapped 542 horsepower engine generates 369 pound-feet of torque and takes the car up to a top speed of 197.6 mph.

The engine is custom-made by RUF and its aluminum block, flat crank, and dry-sump lubrication provide it with the necessary durability for long grueling track races. The 2017 M5 also known as the F90 is based on the seventh-generation G30 5 series and it made its debut at Gamescom as a part of Need For Speed Payback’s launch event. The model was also later showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in a more traditional announcement.

On the outside, the F90 featured a new and slightly muscular look designed by Seungmo Lim.
